Thursday, February 28, 2019 8:30am to 2:30pm Spruce Creek High School Media Center
Spruce Creek High School’s Academy of Information Technology & Robotics (AITR) is hosting the third annual Spruce Creek High School Maker Faire. Inspired by AITR’s annual Maker challenge project, the Maker Faire is a school-wide event and will feature participants in grades 9-12. The event is open to participants from Spruce Creek High School who submit a participant application by February 21, 2019. We anticipate having over 100 participant displays.
Spruce Creek and AITR are looking for members of our local business community to be our guests to the Spruce Creek High School Maker Faire. We would like this to be a fun and relaxed opportunity for our students to showcase their talents to the business community and utilize it as a networking opportunity with potential future employers.
If you are interested in attending as our guest, please contact Kate Allen at kdfreeland08@gmail.com to RSVP. We will provide you with more details (such as directions once you get to the school, how to sign in at the main office, updated event details, etc.) once you RSVP.
We would also like to have a few community participants. If you or your company have a Maker Faire type of project or an interactive exhibit promoting STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) that you would like to display, please include your request to participate and a description of your display in your RSVP email.
If you are interested in becoming an event sponsor, please contact Kate Allen at kdfreeland08@gmail.com. |
