Heritage Middle School (Hosting School) –The next regional F.A.C.T. (Families and Community Together) Fair sponsored by the Title I office of Volusia County Schools will be held on Thursday, April 4th, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium at Heritage Middle School, 1001 Parnell Court, Deltona. The fair is designed to support the needs of Title I families and encourage parents to become more involved in their child's education.
Title I schools on the west side of the County are Blue Lake Elementary, Citrus Grove, Deland Middle School, Deltona Lakes Elementary, Deltona Middle School, Discovery Elementary, Enterprise Elementary, Forest Lake Elementary, Friendship Elementary, Galaxy Middle School, Heritage Middle School, Highbanks Learning Center, Legacy Scholars, Manatee Cove Elementary, McInnis Elementary, Orange City Elementary, Osteen Elementary, Pierson Elementary, Pine Ridge High School, Pride Elementary, Richard Milburn Learning Center, Spirit Elementary, Southwestern Middle School, Starke Elementary, Sunrise Elementary, Taylor Middle/High School, Timbercrest Elementary, Volusia Pines Elementary, Volusia Online, and Woodward Elementary. While the fairs are designed with Title I schools in mind, families from all schools are welcome to attend.
Volusia County Schools and community organizations are working together to provide parents with information about free resources available to families, including support for health concerns, affordable housing, public safety, voluntary pre-kindergarten and secondary education opportunities.
Free books and food will be available. Information about elementary reading, writing, science, technology and math will be provided. Parents may also learn about tutoring services, Title I programs, Exceptional Student Education services, mentoring opportunities, graduation requirements and technology in the schools. Entertainment will be provided by our talented students.
Numerous free parent activities will be available in the gymnasium. The F.A.C.T. Fairs are sponsored by the Title I Parent & Family Engagement office for Volusia County Schools.
