Student Information System

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Volusia County Schools is excited to be implementing a new Student Information System (SIS), Focus School Software, to replace CrossPointe, Gradebook, the VCS Individual Education Plan (IEP) system, and many other stand-alone student data systems.

Volusia LEARNS! Agenda and Registration Information​

The following SIS/Focus sessions are being offered daily at Volusia LEARNS!:

​SIS: Focus for Teachers*
(Focus Gradebook, Attendance, Discipline, and General Navigation for Instructional Staff)
​All instructional staff
​Instructional staff will be compensated at the professional learning rate of $15/hour for completing this course
​SIS: Focus Attendance​Clerical and administrative staff managing student attendance
​SIS: Focus Discipline​Clerical and administrative staff who process student discipline referrals
​SIS: Focus Introduction and General Navigation​Clerical and administrative staff who browse student information and who do NOT need any other Focus trainings; the content of this course is embedded in all Focus trainings. 
​SIS: Focus Academic Monitoring for High School Counselors and Administrators​High school counselors; high school principals; high school data/curriculum APs; graduation assurance staff; high school instructional coaches

*Important Note: ​The SIS: Focus for Teachers course is 3.5 hours in length, covering Focus navigation, attendance, gradebook, discipline, and reporting features for instructional staff. This course will be offered repeatedly in a variety of formats and venues throughout the summer, including an entirely online option. For many teachers, this will be the only SIS training needed.
